The town is extremely interesting as a tourist attraction because of a great number of very well preserved relics. Among the most important and beautiful are - the Parish Church, Bernardyni Monastery, the Lutheran Church, beautifully preserved and redecorated city walls, the Neogothic Townhall, the cemetery - lapidarium is a unique - in Poland - set of the Protestant sacral art. Of the XVII- XIX centuries.

The rich material culture is not only depicted in Wschowa only but also in the area surrounding the town. In the nieghbourhood of Wschowa the most interesting and beautiful examples of sacral art are the churches in Debowa Leka, Przyczyna Gorna and Osowa Sien - all of them Ghotic.

 

Wschowa - the town

The Parish Church built in the 2-nd part of the XV century, rebuilt in the end of the XVII century - the architect Pompeo Ferrai - in the main altar the picture of ST. MARY from the beginining of the XVIII century.

The Monastery constructed by the St. Bernardyn Order in the first part of the XVII century comprises a St Jozef Church, the Chapel of St Cross, Monastery, the yard surrounded by the walls - now the objects belong to the St. Francis Order ,

The Post Protestant Church dating from the XVII century - the group comprises the Protestant Church, the tower, the Protestant School and a Protestant minister' s house.

Lapidarium - a Protestant cemetary founded at the begining of the XVII century - it comprises a unique set of Protestant sacral art. From the XVII to XIX centuries.

The Townhall - built in the first part of the XV century, being rebuilt several times, the last one in 1870, one of the most beautiful townhalls in Poland - now housing the office of Wschowa town and community.

Renaissance Houses at the Plac Zamkowy - the Castle Square - built in the XVI century - rebuilt in the XVII century - now housing the Wschowa Land Museum

City Walls - constructed in the XIV century - wooden -, the brick dated for the XV century - being rebuilt several times till the XVII century.

The Jesuit College dating from the beginning of the XVIII century, a baroque construction with the relics of the walls of a gothic mint.

The Szlichting Palace from the end of the XVIII century, now housing a Music School.

The Town Fountain from the second part of the XVIII century depicting a woman with a crown and an armour and a shield in her left hand - the original is in the Wschowa Land Museum

The Church of the name of St. Jadwiga in Debowa Leka, gothic, construced in the XV century - in one of the walls a Renaissance Tomb of Albert Ossowski from 1572

The Church of the name of St. Bartlomiej in Lgin, at the beginning wooden - in the XV century, reconstructed as a brick one in 1860

The Church of the name of St. Jakub in Konradowo built at the end of the XVI century, rebuilt in the XIX century - inside there are late - gothic sculptures of Holy Mary and Jan Evangelist

The Church of the name of St. Fabian and Sebastian in Osowa Sien dating from the XIV century, later on rebuilt - the baroque inside fom the XVIII century

The Branch Church of the name of St Jerzy in Przyczyna Gorna, mentioned as early as 1345, a gothic construction, redecorated many times - gothic polichromy in the inside, on the walls of the aisle.

The Parish Church of the name of St. Jan Ewangelista in Siedlnica, built at the beginning of the XIV century - with a gothic cross from the XIV century.
